Lip lift is a surgical procedure performed to shape the upper lip area and make the lips look fuller and more defined. This procedure is usually preferred by people who have a longer distance between the lip and nose due to aging or who want their lips to look fuller. Lip lift improves the overall aesthetic appearance of the face by adding volume to the lip area.
During the procedure, a thin incision is made just below the base of the nose and excess skin is removed. The lip is lifted upwards to achieve a more youthful and attractive appearance. Lip lift is a procedure performed under local anesthesia and usually takes 1-2 hours. The recovery period after surgery is usually a few weeks, during which swelling and slight bruising may be observed.
Lip lift provides permanent results and generally offers a longer-lasting solution than temporary procedures such as filler injections. However, as with every surgical procedure, lip lift also has some risks. These risks include infection, bleeding, scarring and undesirable aesthetic results. A detailed evaluation before the procedure and choosing an experienced surgeon are important for achieving successful results.
